The Burnout Society
Our competitive, service-oriented societies are taking a toll on the late-modern individual. Rather than improving life, multitasking, "user-friendly" technology, and the culture of convenience are producing disorders that range from depression to attention deficit disorder to borderline personality disorder.

Phantom
Phantom is a mixed media piece that alludes to the dark side of continuous digital connectivity and the nonstop consumption of content. While being connected digitally has so many amazing perks, excessive connectivity, especially in the web3 space, can cause one to lose their sense of reality, values, and stability. These then contribute to poor mental health and a variety of other negative feedback loops. Working as a creator and being able to produce my own artwork is a blessing, but there are also immense pressures on myself and other creators (especially in the web3 space) to constantly be engaging with followers, releasing new content, driving hype/value, and hustling. There is little room to breathe and take breaks in a 24/7 and highly competitive environment, and not being "on" can lead to lost opportunity, income, or growth. This piece is meant to portray a being breaking free from constant connectivity. While being "plugged-in" can be beautiful, meaningful, and teach us so much, it's equally as important to disconnect and strive for balance. With balance, we can have more spaciousness for creativity, nurturing relationships, and self-care.

Mental Health in Web3
The pandemic changed how we communicate with each other. We had to build new personas as avatars, express our voices through discord channels, recognition had to be earned, and our existence itself had to be acknowledged virtually regardless of physical presence. In the Web3 space, this phenomenon was greatly magnified as we have all been enthralled with the ever-changing, high-paced evolution of art NFTs, NFT projects and the communities that sprung up around them. There have been many triumphs as creators from all corners of the world have been able to stake their claim within this new space, but at the same time, the biases and imbalances of the ‘Web2’ world continue to manifest themselves.
Troubled River
One's eyes can be seen as the pathway for a soul to come in and out, and the tunnel between the real and spiritual world. The reachable distance of one body is limited, but the power of the soul makes the frontier of perception infinite.

Many are exhausted of the fight to be relevant, of not being regarded a certain way, just because of how it translates digitally. The pressure to always be online, to always be generating new content and engaging with your audience - this is not sustainable. It leads to burnout, and we are seeing it stifle true creativity. How can we address this issue? We want to provide a safe space, where people can express themselves as they wish, a space where we can truly support one another. This is what we envision for ONBD on SuperRare.
We are all different, full of emotions and longing to be accepted, with big dreams for a shared, sustainable future. This vision starts with accepting ourselves the way we are, the messiness, frustration, anxiety, loneliness, and all other negativity included. The creators in this exhibition show significant strength and courage through expressing their vulnerability. With our inaugural drop on ONBD SuperRare, we aim to further the conversation on mental health in the creative Web3 space, and we hope that it serves as a step toward the collective healing process we all need.
Falling down Samsara
Represents the endless cycle of metempsychosis. Rebirth might sound like a good thing but actually going around and around in the cycle of samsara is keeping humans souls trapped in the material world away from the sublime spiritual one . Recognize suffering. The quest to stop the eternal cycle of births and deaths begins with an internal realization that one is weary of chasing youth, beauty, wealth, status and power. We have done this in so many lifetimes and found earthly rewards to be fleeting, temporal and shallow. Surrender.

Delude-Sense Slugs
Most of the time, they are in a state of isolation, escaping from more than just a square centimeter of the universe beyond. They are just slugs, please don't be too hard on them.
